Re: Time Predictions
Sorry, I've given up on predictions. I spend all this time looking back at past episodes, doing some serious math, and then I come up with what I think the length will be and C&J just post a podcast with some arbitrary length that has no basis on past show lengths and I'm left feeling empty. I hate...

Re: Initial Reactions
Although Lost may not have gone in the exact direction I would have preferred (too much deus ex machina magic), I appreciate that I never know quite what to expect week to week. I guess maybe the best way to write an unpredictable story is to have no idea what you are doing yourself. Both Genius and...

Mother said it herself... "Every question I answer will simply lead to another question. You should rest." It seemed like Mother and MiB were the ones that had similar philosophies when it came to humanity. Maybe Jacob will be more willing to enlighten us mere peasants. I won't hold my breath. Not ...

I feel like this episode was telling us that we are not going to get many of the answers we want. The light was an analogue for the tree of knowledge. "Mother" stated that all men have a little light, but they always want more. We, the audience are those who seek enlightenment. We are not going to g...

Even if ypu didn't like this episode, there was way too much plot to skip over. Not only did Ilana die, but her team split up. There was a definitive final word on the whispers (sorry Claude). Hurley's group meets up with Locke. Desmond gets thrown down a frickin' well by Locke. Desmond runs Locke o...

Lost is simply an analogue for the Bush administration: Jacob = George W. I am glad that they summarily put the issue to rest as well. I did not want to see this become part of the plot. They tied it to a Nikki and Paolo reference as well. I am not sure if they needed to be part of this retrospective kick that the show is on, but it was very efficient.

Yeah, the 'other' island is a sticking point. Crackpot explanation: At the end of the show, the Island travels back in time, the barrier fails and 'crashes' into our universe, much like 815 crashed into it. Would that be morissettian irony or what?
